About

A Creative. A Tibetan.
A shared vision.

Annette and Dawa – two personalities, two stories, one joint project:

Rug Art Studio.

Annette is "The Artistic Mind," a master of interior design who thinks in terms of atmosphere. For her, design doesn't begin with the object, but with its effect in the space. She consults with her clients to realize their visions with a keen eye for detail and a clear, harmonious implementation. Her focus is on the interplay of space, design, and function to create authentic and aesthetic concepts that offer a unique atmosphere.

Dawa was born in Tibet and grew up in Switzerland – between the Alps and the Himalayas, between modernity and spiritual depth. He still carries his Tibetan DNA in his heart. In his world, things have meaning. Structures tell stories. Over decades, he has built an extensive network of the best artisans in Nepal. This network enables Rug Art Studio to present authentic, high-quality products and deeply rooted craftsmanship.

Craftsmanship is not a trend, but an identity.

Annette and Dawa's love led to the founding of a family with their son, Jigme. Their shared passion for art, culture, and crafts inspired their creative project – the Rug Art Studio .

Rug Art Studio is their shared creative hub – a place where art, craftsmanship and individuality come together.
Here, personal memories, artwork, children's drawings, or digital NFTs are transformed into luxurious rugs. Each piece is hand-knotted, each design unique.

Between Zurich, Kathmandu and the hearts of their customers, carpets are created that transform spaces – and in doing so become works of art themselves.

" We wanted to create something that is more than beautiful. Something that lasts."
